Staten Island, NY (February 9, 2020) – Yesterday afternoon around 1:56 p.m., all lanes of the roadway were closed on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge following a four-vehicle collision.
FDNY and other responders received a call in the afternoon where they found that four cars collided with one another.
Two people were transported to the Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze. They are expected to recover.
The crash led to extensive delays on the bridge.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
